Comet Johnson V2 - 4/2/17 Yesterday morning
This rapidly brightening comet now emerging into the late evening sky is becoming a spectacular object. This is a deep 2 hour total integration time with the 10 inch astrograph, and you can see the comet is getting significantly larger with each passing month. There are many dim galaxies in the background in this field, despite the fact that we are in Hercules and getting near the zone of avoidance in the Milky Way. At 9th magnitude, it was rather un inspiring visually, however it is a fine target for deep large aperture shots!
