Details:
Finally, some geomagnetic activity visible from our latitude (48.6 N) in Canada. By the time the auroral oval had rotated favourably to our location the storm had dropped to Kp=4. There was no overhead activity and the storm was mild. I did notice that very low on the northern horizon the aurora appeared orange at times possibly due to atmospheric distortion. There was also a brief period with an intense light pink auroral band. No image enhancement has been applied, only resizing. It was nice to see lights in the sky again. Photos taken with a Canon 6D and a Sigma 20mm DG Art lens, ISO 4000, f/1.8 and f/2, 2 to 3 second exposures.
