Details:
Between a cloud and another I finally got it: the comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková after the perihelion. This photo was taken in Sicily on the night between 8-9 February 2017. The comet, during the shot, was distant about 0,93 AU from the Sun. It, as expected, exhibits only a coma and not a tail. More info about the shot on my project-website: http://bit.ly/cometa-45p Unfortunately I was able to catch one shot only after 4 hours of waiting. I used a APO refractor 80/480mm, a Canon EOS 60D on an HEQ5. The system was guided with a QHY5L-II and a 60mm scope. Date: February 7-8 2017 Time: 5:30 am Location: Cefalù (Palermo) Camera: Canon EOS 60D (unmodded) Shot: ISO800, shutter time 180s, no filters. Telescope: TS Apo 80/480mm f6 with field flattener Guiding: QHY5L-II, 60mm scope Sky conditions: poor
