Details:
I’m always looking up at the sky and today to my delight I spied a lovely halo around the Sun, just as well I had all my camera gear with me as I needed a wide angle lens to capture it all :-) These halos are quite special as they are made up of millions of tiny ice crystals in the high cirrus cloud that reflect and refract the Suns light to produce an amazing 22-degree ring around the Sun…now that’s quite awesome! Image taken with a Canon 70D camera and a Sigma 10-20mm lens @12mm, exposure time was 1/640th second and ISO100.
