Venus is brighter than the Moon in the surface brightness. (Year is actually 2017. I cannot select 2017 from the submission form) In this photo, one can see Venus as a half-disk object. Nikon COOLPIX P610 digital camera; ISO 100, F6.3, 1/250s exposure, f=900mm.
