A comparison of some of the planets taken December 21(on the top row) with images taken earlier during the year. Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Neptune and Uranus are from left to right. The apparent size of both Neptune and Uranus were approximately the same. The images taken on December 21 were taken with a Meade LX6 and the bottom row of planets were taken with an Explore Scientific ED127 with a 2.5X barlow.
