Details:
Had a night off from guiding for Lights Over Lapland in Abisko but fancied seeing if there was any aurora developing tonight. Could see there was some in Abisko but wanted to drive to a tree I'd spotted previously about 12km East of Abisko. Got there thick cloud so then drove to another site I fancied 14km West of Abisko and it started raining. Turned back round to Abisko and the localised weather here gave me the blue hole of Abisko. There was a low KP index of 1 but (as usual) this didn't stop us from seeing this lovely green band of aurora coming out of mount Nuolja.
