Details:
This image is an enhanced version of the moon using the FIT version rather than the TIFF version during processing. Taken with an ASI178MC camera and an Explore Scientific ED80. Stacked using ImagesPlus and processed with ImagesPlus and Adobe Lightroom. Both versions have been included as a comparison. There is significantly more detail when using the FIT version during processing.

Lovely images. I tried to do a side by side comparison but one image is slightly bigger than the other so cant tell if the extra detail is because of this.
Did you zoom in during processing of one image or is there another reason for the size difference please?

Yes, I zoomed in a bit on one of the photos so Ill repost both again with the same framing. Sorry about that.

Excellent shot. How would you compare the amount of detail in a FITS file vs a RAW file.
