This is the real thing. The Strait of Messina is the home of Fata Morgana. Pleased that you have realized this after having posted the previous image.

Theres no Fata Morgana mirage here. Maybe there s some slight inferior mirage, but definitely not Fata morgana and not even two-image superior mirage.

Iovane: dopo aver pubblicato la prima immagine ( nella quale non avevo affatto riconosciuto il fenomeno Fata Morgana) mi è stato riferito con certezza che non era un miraggio inferiore ma il Fata Morgana così, erroneamente, ho ripubblicato chiamandolo Fata Morgana. In realtà ci si confonde facilmente perché tutti pensano che qualsiasi miraggio si verifichi in quelle zone sia il Morgana ma così non è.
Quello fotografato è un miraggio inferiore.
