To the naked eye, the close super perigee Moon did not look that much larger than normal, but it was ‘definitely’ a lot brighter as shown by my photo with its shimmering light on the water...which looked absolutely beautiful :-) In the second image, even though there were some clouds in the sky the Moon looked quite pretty surrounded by the pink coloured clouds left over from sunset. The wide field image was taken with a Canon 700D and a Canon 17-85mm lens @53mm, ISO800 and exposure was 1/10th second. The close up image was taken with a Canon 70D camera and a Canon 100-400mm lens @ 400mm, ISO 640 and exposure was 1/500th second. This is the second close super moon for this year (and the closest) the next one will be on the 14th December. Science at NASA has a great article and YouTube video explaining this phenomenon at: https://science.nasa.gov/news-articles/2016-ends-with-three-supermoons
