Details:
Rain and clouds parted here outside Borgarnes, Iceland at around 10:30. Saw four lines of Northern Lights between about 10:45 pm and 12:30 am. First two were almost horizon to horizon. Colors were a very faint green and possibly purplish, but were competing with light from the super moon. First one was directly overhead, it eventually got fatter, then wavy, then swirly before fading out. Second was also very long and mostly green, brighter than the first because it was further from moonlight. Third was shorter and even greener. Fourth ws at the extreme WNW horizon and I finally had my camera handy, we were watching the first three from a hot tub! Camera: Coolpix S6300 Shot: 1 sec. f/3.2 4.5mm ISO 1600
