Details:
Photo #1. The Moon image was captured with a Questar Q 3.5 telescope and a Nikon D810 camera. Five images differing by 0.33 stops were stacked to create a HDR to attempt to mitigate the flat illumination of the full Moon. The resulting stack was deconvoluted and then adjusted with Photoshop to produce the final posted image. The inverted image was derived from the positive image and further adjusted to enhance detail. Photo#2. The Supermoon casting rays from behind the nearby mountains before rising in Tucson AZ visualized in infrared before the Moon rise as the Supermoon illuminated the sky before it was seen. The second image shows the Supermoon beginning to clear the mountain ridge. Photo captured with with a converted Nikon D700 for 830 nm.
