Details:
This evening cloud around sunset (first image) again threatened to obscure the moon and planets show but cleared rapidly after the sun had gone down to reveal the loose triangular conjunction of Venus, Saturn, the Crescent Moon and Antares (second image). The third image is a closer view of Venus and the Moon with Saturn exactly half-way between. In the final image, taken after dark, the Moon and two planets form part of a beautiful starscape with Antares at the center and just visible towards the upper left, the binary Alpha Librae. The photographs were taken using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset and then night scenery modes.
