Details:
The Scanning RF-Seismograph is a HAM radio project and it tries to measure the propagation by analyzing noise and the changes over time. It has picked up meteor traces before but this is the first time there were four in one night. Since it is late October the recorded noise peaks can only belong to the Orionids.
One at 2AM raised the noise level on 15m only. At around 4:10AM, 4:20AM and 4:25AM the ionic trail of the meteors caused the noise level of the 80m all the way up to 20m. There were definite signs of an open path on 80 and 20m lasting about 10 to 20 minutes.
