Sunday October 9, 2016 815 a.m. La Jolla Shores beach in San Diego Ca., looking North. I phone 7. Mostly clear sky, no wind at my location. (Sea level). I spotted these clouds from the water. It would be kind of one of you geniuses to identify them for me. I have never seen this type of cloud before. I also want to take the opportunity to THANK all of you for your photography. I look at this space weather website daily. My knowledge has increased significantly because of all of you.

Nice photos!
They look like cirrus with some cumulus on top in the forth photo but I must say Jelly Fish cloud works for me!

Rainstorms do not have to have rain reach the ground to produce lightning, and mountain convection over a desert could easily produce your jellyfish clouds, which to wildfire risk would be at tornado watch.
