Details:
Monday night, Sept 26, was beautifully clear and adorned by a colourful though dim aurora to the north all night. It never got too bright nor active to the naked eye, but was a fine photogenic sight to the camera, in this case shining over the still lake at Police Outpost Provincial Park in southern Alberta, a very dark site in the foothills of the Rockies. I also used the night and the calm waters to capture the Big Dipper and autumn stars reflected in the lake.
