These photos were taken 2 days before the very close Venus-Jupiter conjunction when the planets were 2.1° apart. Dimmer Mercury seemed to be escorting them 5° away as colorful filamentous clouds added to the nice display at dusk. Details: Canon PowerShot SX60 HS camera, Manual Mode, 5x(ISO 800-1600, F6.0, 1/3-1 s), between 21:05 and 21:25 UT.
