Details:
As Spaceweather already told, the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter will be difficult to see for us 'Northeners' (I'm located at 49 deg northern latitude). Nevertheless, I tried to see Venus and Jupiter the last days. Venus is an easy target in binoculars (given you know where to look), Jupiter looks pale, barely visible. Today (August 26th) I grabbed my camera and made some photos with the 300 mm lens at ISO 200. The image is a combination of 30 shots exposed 1/320 sec each (combined with Astroart) and processed to look alike the view in binoculars. So far the conjunction tomorrow will be easier to observe than expected. But I'm aware that images from South America will be much (!) better and I'm excited to see your contributions.
