Details:
Mars, the red planet, passes between creme-colored Saturn and the red giant star Antares in the constellation Sorpius. At left, the constellation Sagittarius is visible, wilhe the brightest part of the Milky Way (around the galactic center) can be seen between Scorpius and Sagittarius. Single 30 second exposure, taken with a Canon EOS 550D at ISO 3200, 21mm, f/3.5, Cokin P820 diffusor, tracked with the Vixen Polarie star sracker.
