Details:
I had been noticing on Spaceweather.com that the magnetic field had been south for a very long time, and did not wait for the Kp-index to reach 5 before I left home to hunt the northern lights. It was sure to come. I went to one of my favorite places, "The Tawny Owl Lake". If I want reflection in the water, early autumn is the best time where I live. It turned out to be a great show!
