Details:
It was partly cloudy tonight and the moon illuminated a patch of pouch-like structures - nighttime mammatus clouds! While I've usually seen mammatus clouds associated with storms, it was actually a pretty nice day today (though we had rain last night). I used a tripod-mounted Canon T3i with a 0.5 second exposure at ISO 6400.

This is an altocumulus layer. Mammatus are too thick to let the light of Moon through it. It still has a beautiful pattern!
