We were watching the Perseids when this fireball surprised us. It was clearly not part of the Perseid stream. Note the intensity undulations as it breaks up. It was bright enough to cast a shadow and very colorful. Compare this fireball to the two brightest Perseids. The pictures were taken with Panasonic LX3 (60s, 400ISO) and a GoPro Hero4 (30s, 800ISO).
