Details:
Venus, Mercury, the Moon and Jupiter (in ascending order) were roughly vertically aligned in the west two hours before the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. An easy naked-eye target, the twilight display was a nice treat to thousands of people from all over the world who were gathering at the MaracanĂ£ Stadium to attend the unforgettable spectacle only 1 km away from my observing site. Data: Canon PowerShot SX60 HS camera at ISO800, 1/2s exposure, F/4.5.
