As I was driving to location I did see some kind of faint arc crossing the sky from east to west and when I got there the proton arc was all over the sky at one point pulsing and dancing with the Northern lights...Quite a show.... Nikon D800 Nikorr 14-24mm f 2.8 Exp: 8,10,25/1 ISO:2500,3200,4000 14mm

Love these (#3 esp) funny, in all my years of aurora viewing, have never noticed a proton arc! Must always have been looking the wrong direction! thanks for sharing
