Details:
Going for a drive to chase thunderstorms. I decided to stop along Highway 766, as there was a small opening in the clouds, what the heck I thought lets hang out here as the kP index had hit 4 a couple of times and I thought that an Auroral display would occur. The cloud opening gradually enlarged and the diffuse aurora was beautiful with the surrounding clouds. And as chance would have it I was able to capture a Perseid Fireball. This image was taken with a Nikon 810D with a Tamron 15-30mm at 15 mm, at 1:57:49 am.
