Details:
At a distance of 5200 light years the Trifid Nebula in Sagittarius, exhibits all three ways nebulae manifest themselves. This object is an example of a reflection, emission, and dark nebula all rolled up into one object. Battling clouds, Moon and haze, I captured this object using a Stellarvue 102ED refractor and a Canon XS DSLR, ISO800. This image is a stack of 16 x 180 second light frames processed with ImagesPlus and PS5.
