Details:
This was the first good display of noctilucent clouds I've seen this season, despite the run of clear nights before this. The clouds were there from the start in the late evening twilight though that's still around midnight for us at latitude 51° N. They faded as the Sun dropped farther below the horizon and were gone by 1:30 am local MDT. This is a closeup through a 105mm telephoto and is part of 1000-frame time-lapse.
