Finally - my NLC season began with a beautifull display. Like a giant wing the NLC's slowly passed above me while a bird sang the most wonderfull song. Looking forward to a looong and spectacular NLC summer.

Thanks Sylvain :-) Hopefully I will capture much better photos during the season. Did not have the best place to photograph last night.

It is already quite nice Pernille !
Funny to see that it is the same NL Cloud than -Ruslan- took at the same time, from Denmark too (see NLCs galery).

Here in Paris, France, I had just ONE time in my life the opportunity to see NLCs, in...July 2009 !
(See it on this Spaceweather page, on top of the page) :

Maybe it is a -good news- ???

Good luck to you !

Yes my image is just a little part of the same clouds Ruslan capturede. You are absolutely right. I could see them but streetligts and antennas made it impossible to capture the clouds in all their glory. Your image is spectacular I think. What a day and opportunity to see these clouds. Wish I had the Eiffeltower in the foreground :-)
I have this little gallery of NLCs taken from my recent home, where I could get on stair up to take some shots out of my window. Often stod there for hours just watching them flow slowly across the sky.:

Very nice website Pernille !
It seems that we have a few areas of interest in common : Egypt (even if it is much harder now...:-(( , airshows and astronomy...

My pictures of the -July 2009 Paris NLCs are not as good as yours (shot with a 5 Mpx Sony pocket camera on tripod...), but anyway, it helps me to remember such a rare event here in Paris, only 49° North...
Last week end, I saw -NLCs like- clouds at sunset, but nothing after. And now, it is quite cloudy here.
Wait & see...
;-)
