Yesterday I came back to Italy after my first Scottish college semester, and when I saw a nice sun photography chance I took it without thinking too much! The Sun was setting when we stopped at a higway restaurant to have dinner, and the star was an almost perfect oval on the horizon. I upset half of my baggage to catch my 500mm telelens and to shoot like ten pictures before the sunset was complete, behind the hill. This is a single shot, ISO 100, f/6.3, 1/4000" exp. Its shape was already deformed into a fragmented borders oval, it's always awesome to be able to look at it while assuming these strange and unusual forms. I wanted to shoot this picture to image the big sunspot AR 2546, that is close to disappear from our side of the Sun, and such to end its transit from our point of view. And, surely a welcome event, I managed to catch my very first Green Flash on the top of the Sun! It was not long, only two or three shots, but it's totally stunning!
