Details:
Mars was shining brighter than Saturn last evening as it appeared directly over Mt. Rainier around 10PM. With 4 more days until opposition Mars had a apparent diameter of 18.1 arc-seconds early this morning. Seeing was above average (4/5) but the transparency was below average (2/5). Detailed image of Mars was taken with an Explore Scientific ED127 and a ZWO ASI178MC video camera with a 2.5X TeleVue Powermate. Still have many more larger video files to process from early this morning so I'm hoping for even better detail.
