Details:
Cloud lined the mountains, but after half an hour driving around I was able to set up for sunrise over McBride Peak in the Rocky Mountains. Rising sun with Mercury at 13:44 UT. Severe turbulence. Other photos: moments before sunrise, through solar filter at .6 secs. Sun photos 1/1000 sec. All photos at 100 iso, Pentax K5IIs, 1.4X 540mm telescope. Colourful cloud taken with same setup, same mountain ridge with filter removed 19 minutes after transit photo, sun a few degrees out of view. Cloud grew steadily, later obscuring much of the transit and dusting the peak with snow.

I really like the first/main pic, with Mercury and Sun rising above trees and mountain!
