Details:
There were clouds for most of the transit but they broke in the morning just long enough to take a picture. There was a very small, very dark and very round spot on the surface. I was a little underwhelmed but my friends, who don't look at the sun every day, were quite impressed.

Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.

The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
