Details:
The Sun as we see it from Southern hemisphere. The sunspot AR2529 has come back just in time for Mercury transit. According to my measurements, the smaller dark area of the sunspot at present has almost the same apparent angular diameter as Mercury- approximately 12" This gives us quite a good idea of what we are going to see on May 9th. Image was done with TAL-100 (4") refractor @ f/10, full aperture black polymer filter and Canon EOS-550D camera.
