Pensacola State astronomy students Allen Ward, Katie Carff, and Lindsey Blanton used their smartphones and our Coronoado 60 with iOptron Smartphone adapter to get these shots of a pair of nice prominences about 11 AM CDT Tuesday.

With the sunspot about dead center, was hard to tell east from west in the student photos. Looks like this fine pair were in fact on the eastern limb, just coming onto the disk! Images should have been mirror images.
