Details:
Camping out in the field enduring temperatures around -32°C to -34°C witnessing exceptionally clear skies and a fantastic glow of green and purple. The first location is at the site of an Emperor penguin colony, the calls of the birds in the background provided the soundtrack to the evening's photographing! The second location is near the continental hinge zone where the landmass meets the ice shelf - a massive windscoop can be faintly seen in the background.

Extremely beautiful photos. Wish could hear the penguins too. Thanks so much for sharing.

In the center photo, to the right of the tent, is that Orion upside-down, with his shoulders below the horizon, and but showing from his belt, sword and knees uppermost?
