Details:
Despite the forecasts I was still surprised by the appearance of the first green already at 22:30h. However, it faded out and I got time to find a place with a good overview. Over the frozen lake, with lots of growling and gurgling sounds under the ice, I had a super view of the sunset, the auroras and also the half moon! The temperature dropped to -11C...... However too bad, after midnight the auroras were not powerful enough anymore and lost the battle with the other lights. In 2015 I was still able to photograph strong auroras in the night of 22nd-23rd of April! So, still about one week more to go! Maybe tonight observation nr. 100 of this season?
