Details:
A number of factors prevented me from seeing or imaging the liftoff of the SPACE-X CRS-8 resupply mission to the ISS. There were thin clouds here and a bright afternoon sky. I chose my ground and waited but unlike last time's night time liftoff I was unable to see anything from here. But the sky never fails, for long, to provide some fantastic, awe inspiring sight like this one. Tonight at sunset the phase of the Moon on April 8, 2016 was a Waxing Crescent with only 2% of the Moon's visible disk illuminated. Just Wow!
