Details:
Yesterday evening was so beautiful that I had to see if something other than majesitic Jupiter was visible. A quick check of Stellarium showed that Mercury was a possibility. Getting a clear shot wasn't easy. With time running out I skipped the tripod and used a guardrail on the river bank to provide stability. For this reason the shots are not completely still. Only my second time spotting this elusive planet. Quite an experience! Details: Shot DSCN7448 was cropped for the first image. In shot DSCN7446 a plane is seen climbing after takeoff from Berlin Tegel. In shot DSCN7444 I've circled the location of Mercury and let MS-Gallery auto adjust color and light. More details: DSCN7448: f5.6, 0.77sec, ISO-100, 450mm equiv DSCN7446: f5.5, 0.77sec, ISO-100, 250mm equiv DSCN7444: f4.2, 1/5sec, ISO-100, 24mm equiv
