Details:
This is my first experience seeing Auroras and photographing them since I live in Texas. It was a phenomenal experience, seeing the rapid changing of colors with the naked eye when the Auroras were building up sometimes almost filling up the entire sky. I tried to create a Time Lapse during the Tromsø Northern Light tours, but we were not at any of the locations long enough. I managed to get a 6 second Time Lapse which I’m still working on. Saw the Auroras every day, within Tromsø with the Light Pollution and during the tours out in nice dark skies West of Tromsø. Used a Canon 6d with a Canon 16 to 33 mm lens set at 16 mm at f2.8, ISO set at 2000 to 2500 and 8 second exposure. I had a Canon 24 mm f1.4 lens with me but just stayed with the Canon 16 to 33 mm lens with the wider view.
