We were greeted with perfect sky conditions this morning...
We set ourselves up near the airport where our view of the sun is lined up with the path of airplanes taking off from the airport. As the partial eclipse was underway, a jetliner flew directly in front of the sun as seen from our location, and our cameras were patiently waiting to capture the perfect moment!
The second image is maximum eclipse (47.1%) as seen from our location...
Image taken using Canon 500D attached to 600mm f/7.5 Skywatcher refractor with Baader Neutral Density 3.8 solar filter...
