Details:
Comet C/2013 US10 (Catalina) imaged on January 17th 2016, in conjunction with the Pinwheel Galaxy (M 101) at left, and the popular pair of stars Mizar and Alcor surrounded by a bright halo induced by the refractor telescope optics. The comet stands out in center with its greenish coma from which departs a bright dust tail arched toward down, and a long ionic tail more faint toward right, going above the couple of stars. Takahashi FSQ ED 106mm. f/5.0 & SBIG STL-11000M, mosaic 3x(L:2×240s + RGB:1x60s Bin2) remotely from Mayhill, New Mexico (USA)
