Details:
The photos show the 98% illuminated waning gibbous Moon and Jupiter (only 1.1° apart) seen from Rio de Janeiro. They were taken with a Sony DSC-HX300 camera on a tripod around 23:00 (GMT-3h) or 2:00 UT Feb. 24. The pair put on a fine show indeed even when observed through clouds, as the images show.
