Last night gave some spectacular northern lights. Despite terrible weather conditions, we managed to put ourselves in the right spot at the right moment. It was cloudy on most parts of northern Norway. I had driven 150 km in hope of getting a show from the anticipated solar storm. As soon as it got dark enough, and the first stars appeared, lady Aurora swung into action. With a thin layer of high clouds, and a bright moonlight, it was a bit tricky to get the right colors of the auroras. I just wonder how it would been on a dark night and with clear skies! The first picture is composed by 9 vertical photos. My friend is standing right in front of me, and my car to the left. Just to give an impression of the greatness of the Auroras. vesteraling@gmail.com (_) More photos here: http://frank-olsen.pixels.com/
