Details:
For two days I had been waiting in anticipation of the arrival of the CME and so when it started to show itself during my evening guiding Lights Over Lapland guests there was much excitement. Oliver Wright, who I had also been guiding with that evening decided to head back out straight after we finished. A strong wind blew as lovely coronas exploded overhead and the aurora gained momentum. I decided to focus on a few different types of composition. Making the most of the Sami structures at our location. The moon was bright and also casting some interesting shadows and so it was a great opportunity capture a few slightly different and creative shots of the aurora.
