Details:
Here is a montage of images taken of the planets and the Moon yesterday morning from Brisbane, Australia. The 5 classical planets shown (those known since prehistory) were all visible in the sky at the same time, stretching 115° across the sky from Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Mars, through to Jupiter. On the right is is a panoramic image taken with a wide angle lens. On the left are telescopic images of each planet (not to visual scale) showing how far away from Earth they were at the time, and their angular diameter (how big they appear in our sky - 1" = 1 arcsecond = 1/3600°). In a few days Mercury will be too low on the horizon to see clearly. The next time all planets will be visible together in the sky is August this year.

Great presentation actually, this is a great compilation to use for a grade school astronomy lesson.
