It is certainly a nice planetary display to start the day off. The photos show the alignment of Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Mars over Rio de Janeiro amidst the colors of dawn. A straight line was drawn to show the amazing degree of alignment (neglecting the curvature of the celestial sphere for simplification). The last photo shows Venus and Mercury rising over a poor community located on a nearby hill. A Canon PowerShot SX60 HS was used for the shots, taken around 7:45 UT.
