Details:
I was on a flight from Toronto to Reykjavik, and had purposefully got a window seat pointing north. I was speaking with someone for a few hours, and then looked out the window at EST 00:00 (Greenland time 02:00), and saw a lovely green band hanging in the sky. To the west, the band was moving in intensity, with purples too. Spent 3 hours watching until we started descending into Iceland, which was 06:00 local time. Even though I am an experienced aurora photographer, the images taken were nearly impossible to have clearly. Turbulence, scratches on the glass, light from the wing, and no tripod, made the photos blurred, but the experience was immense!
