Details:
Yesterday afternoon in Rome in East direction from 17:34 Until 17:36 local time ( 16 : 34-16 : 36 UT ) WE have observed, and later imaged by mobile phone , groups of 4-5 bright orange intense objects, lined each other. The luminous objects had an estimated magnitude around 10 times the brightness of Venus and went back toward the zenith and then slowly decreased in brightness until they disappeared. Such behavior was for All the objects groups. Someone spotted and documented the same Items ? We don't know what they are (surely no airplanes). Sequence of images are enclosed and the full video is placed on https://www.facebook.com/raffaello.lena/videos/10205504783402824/

I bet they were sky lanterns, sometimes called Chinese lanterns. They behave exactly as you described. Google sky lantern (images) to know what they are.
