Details:
It´s been quite a while without stargazing. After some very intense and rough negotiations with Santa, I persuaded him and able to receive my present days before Christmas Eve: a 5 MP ccd camera. This picture is first light. Having no experience with my new gadget I just set up the optics and shoot as it came from the box to see what I could get. Found a little bit cumbersome when it came to use the laptop screen to grab moon’s image, must say. That night, Urano was less than a half of degree angular separation from moon´s center. Easily visible through my scope. Could not spot Urano through my freshly arrived camera. Next things down the road ought to face: 1.- Calm down, 2.- Learn how to use my brand new 5MP ccd camera to get the most of it.
