Details:
I was out guiding for Lights Over Lapland tonight and was hoping for aurora. The weather forecast was cloudy and the aurora was showing Kp1 with a Kp1 max in the next 24 hours. But you know Abisko, things can change fast. I was seeing things develop to the North so we headed out early (no sign of the clouds) got to the site and the aurora had died down a little so got everyone set up. I then noticed weak aurora climbing into the sky which was a tell tale sign that things were about to change... Boom we had great green streaks to the North, straight above and to the South. I'd been meaning to try this composition with the Sami food store. Both myself and the clients had one great night. When I got back to wifi the Kp had moved to Kp4 so something must have shifted! Looking forward to the 19th!
